Комиссия по конкуренции
Государственная структура, учрежденная в Великобритании в 1998 г. с целью регулирования деятельности монополий и стимулирования конкуренции. Ранее эти функции выполняла Комиссия по монополиям и слияниям (Monopolies and Mergers Commission). Основная задача Комиссии - расследование случаев установления на рынке монопольной власти, осуществления слияний и поглощений, ограничения конкуренции, а также предоставление отчетов по всем этим случаям. Согласно закону о конкуренции рынок считается монополизированным, если 40% производства товаров или услуг в отрасли приходится на одну компанию или группу компаний, которые договариваются об ограничении конкуренции (см. Concerted practice, Complex monopoly). Слияния и поглощения попадают в поле зрения законодательных органов, когда их общая доля на рынке превышает 25%, а совокупная стоимость активов Ј70 млн. Все подобные нарушения оцениваются Комиссией с точки зрения ущерба, который они могут нанести интересам потре- бителей и интересам других производителей в отрасли. В любом случае выводы Комиссии носят лишь рекомендательный характер. Обеспечение выполнения закона - прерогатива Управления по вопросам добросовестной конкуренции (см.
